2025 CATHOLIC LEAGUE Varsity & JV RULES
Period Lengths:
- 13-13-13 - Varsity
- 10-12-12 - JV
No OT, games will end in a tie
2 points for a win; 1 point for tie; 0 points for loss
USA Hockey Rules will apply
- This is a non-checking league
- No tag-up offsides
- No icing on the penalty kill
- 1:30 Minute Penalties
Slap shots are not permitted
In a 4 goal game:
- The losing team can have a 6th skater enter the ice
- 6th skater must leave ice when game goes back to a 3 goal differential
- Running clock in the 3rd period in a 4 goal game
Playoffs:
- 6 teams from each division will make playoffs
- Quarterfinals:
- JV - Wednesday April 30th
- Varsity - Thursday May 1st
- Semifinals: Friday May 2nd
- JV: 5PM & 5:15PM
- Varsity: 6:15PM & 6:30PM
- Finals: Saturday May 3rd
- JV: 5:00PM
- Varsity: 6:15PM
